Instagram offers no download for other people’s posts, and screen recording loses quality and picks up interface chrome. A downloader gets you the original file.
Instagram requires a login
Instagram blocks anonymous access to most media. This is the single most common reason a download fails. In Reebore Video Downloader, select the browser where you are logged in from the Login Cookies dropdown; your existing session is reused.

Reels download as standard vertical MP4. For carousel posts with several videos, each item is listed separately so you can pick. Stories are reachable while they are still live — once the 24 hours are up they are gone from Instagram, and no tool can retrieve them.

Why does it say the post cannot be found?
Almost always a login problem: no session in the selected browser, or the account cannot view that post.
Will the poster know I downloaded it?
No. Instagram does not notify for downloads. Story screenshots are also not notified for regular accounts, but that behaviour is Instagram’s to change.
